Food and Drinks

Thousand Lakes Lodge provides delicious and hearty meals when you stay.

A delicious breakfast spread is laid out in the dining space each morning for you to help yourself. You’ll find a selection of continental style delights, along with local ingredients to create yourself a breakfast toastie. Breakfast is included in your room rate.

Larder and Bar

The lounge area of the Lodge offers a larder packed with tasty treats from Tasmania and further afield. Choose from an array of cheeses, European inspired cold cut and smoked meats, smoked trout and more, all individually portioned to create your ideal charcuterie plate or a quick snack.

Saint John Craft Beer Bar is renowned for its selection of beers and has put together a fine collection Tasmanian and International craft beers and ciders for the Wilderness Lodge. Along with Tasmanian produced wines from Goaty Hill and local spirits, and delicious seasonal coffee by Ritual Coffee, there is a selection of treats to enjoy throughout the day.

Both the larder and bar operate on an honesty system, where you can access and record your selection when the moment takes you.

Lunch Hampers

If you plan on exploring the region for the day, lunch hampers are available to order to take with you. Please let the team know the night before you set off so they can prepare your hamper.

A hearty dinner is served each night in the dining room using the best Tasmanian produce to satisfy a highlands hunger. There is a selection of two or three-course meals available for $55 or $66 respectively.

We can cater for vegetarian and gluten free meal options and will do our best to cater for any other special dietary requirements.

Because we are in a remote location our meals are pre-packaged by the team at Wursthaus in Launceston. When placing your booking with us, please highlight your requirements and we will do our best to cater for you.

Due to licensing agreements we advise only food or beverages purchased onsite may be consumed within the guest lounges/communal areas.
