Bushwalking & Fishing Overnight Camping Trips in the Western Lakes

Enjoy the unique, remote Tasmanian wilderness accompanied by our experienced guides who will take you on an amazing adventure. These walks can be tailored to suit your wishes and desires whether it be to walk into the Western Lakes from Lake Ada, Pillians, McKenzie or a variety of other tracks.

Our guides will use their initiative, insight and vast array of fishing expertise to give you the best possible chance of having the fishing experience you desire. Not surprisingly, some of the lakes in the area contain very large fish, in excess of ten pounds. Like all big fish, they’re not easy to find or catch, but if you’re lucky enough to land one, a few photographs and a quick release is the order of the day. As casts are not made unless a fish is spotted, it is truly sight fishing at its best.

This sort of fishing is certainly not for beginners – or for the faint hearted. Being able to walk while carrying a backpack and make casts under pressure is a daily occurrence.

Length: One to five nights.

We provide:
* At least two experienced guides on every trip for safety reasons
* All food and beverages
* All tents, packs and relevant camping equipment
* All tackle including a range of top-quality Sage fly rods or Shimano spinning rods, Scientific Angler fly lines and Ross fly reels, flies and leaders etc.
* Waders

Cost per night for a camping trip is as follows:

One angler: $1200 per day
Two anglers: $1200 per day ($600 each)
Three anglers: $1650 per day ($550 each)
Four anglers: $2100 per day ($525 each)

Large groups can be catered for on request.
