Your fully guided and supported journey begins as we cross the Central Plateau entering a unique, glaciated landscape, hosting an extensive network of highland lakes, trout-filled lagoons, pine lined tarns and crystal clear streams. The area is abundant with wildlife, sighting of wombats, Tasmanian Devils and wedge-tailed eagles are possible. Find yourself immersed in nature with an amazing guided walk in this magnificent World Heritage Area, a place that provides protection and sanctuary for a diversity of undisturbed habitats which are home to plant and animals that are rare and endemic to Tasmania. Your guides will

  • Provide a professional, fully guided and supported overnight walk to the world famous Walls of Jerusalem National Park

  • Carry all tents, cooking gear, emergency equipment, first aid kits and food

  • Set up tents (and take down), cook a delicious gourmet meal followed by dessert, chocolate and a selection of wine and spirits

  • Provide everything you need for a fantastic time on the wild side

We will provide

  • Tents, packs, waterproof bags, sleeping bags (with liners)

  • Sleeping mars, wet weather pants and jacket, eating utensils

  • Water bottle, headlamp, gaiters, toilet kit, sunscreen, insect repellent, safety and emergency response equipment

  • Gourmet meals and trail snacks

  • A selection of quality Tasmanian cheese and wine for after dinner

  • Trail-head vehicle transfers

You will need

  • Good walking boots and socks

  • Long and short pants

  • Long and short sleeve shirt

  • Warm jacket (fleece or puffer)

  • Warm sweater or jumper

  • Thermal pants and top

  • Sunhat and sunglasses

  • Warm hat and warm gloves

  • Camera (optional)

  • Ability to carry up to 10kg
