Antarctica New Zealand is the Crown Entity responsible for developing, managing and executing New Zealand Government activities in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. They also manage Scott Base, New Zealand’s Antarctic research station which supports science in the Ross Sea region.

New Zealand has had a permanent presence on the ice since 1957. As a result, Antarctica New Zealand has an extensive media collection with thousands of amazing images supported by background and location information dating back almost 60 years. ADAM brings together more than 40,000 digitised historical and scientific images on a multimedia platform – one of the largest Antarctic focused image collections on the planet!
